Hora del círculo (Jenny Mosley’s Circle Time): Tiempo para compartir, aprender y pasarlo bien
Elspeth McCusker started teaching in a public school in Manhattan situated near the United Nations headquarters. The 36 pupils in her first 5th grade class drew from the incredibly heterogeneous population that makes up New York and included children of diplomats from 6 different countries as well as children from the neighborhood’s homeless shelter. She discovered in the early years of her career as a teacher that positive communication is fundamental to helping children learn and learn to get along in a classroom.
Her teaching career has spanned across the elementary grades from 2nd to 5th, in both public and private schools in New York City and Santiago. She loves what she does, and truly believes that teachers are one of the most important factors of societal change.
Elspeth was born and raised in the United States, but has lived in five continents over her life. She received a Master of Arts in Education from New York University, and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Smith College in Northampton, Massachusetts. She moved to Chile for love, and has three beautiful boys with her Chilean husband, Claudio.
